The Holy Spirit and Genesis recovery

The question is how do I cooperate with the holy spirit when I am struggling with an addiction.  The first thing that we are going to address is three basic questions.  1.  Who is the Holy Spirit?  What does He do? and how do I cooperate with Him?  So we are starting with scriptures that describe who He is and what He does.  So He is:
1.  The third person of the trinity
2.  He is the River of Life that flows out of the believer.
3.  He is the Spirit of Truth that leads you into all the truth.
4.  He is the arm of the Lord or the Power of God.
5.  He is the Spirit of Life that set me free from the law of sin and death.
6.  He is the gift from God to me to overcome my enemies.
7.  He is my shield and protector.
8.  He is a refuge from the storm and a shade from the heat of the day.
9.  He is the same spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead and He dwells in me.
10.He is the almighty God the Everlasting One.

What does He do?
1.  He dwells in my mortal body and gives me strength
2.  He makes me to lie down in green pastures.
3.  He is my sword and my weapon of war.
4.  He gives me strength when I have none.
5.  He is my sword of the spirit and my weapon of warfare.
6.  He is Satan’s worst fear.
7.  He removes mountains when I pray.
8.  He intercedes for me in prayer according to the perfect will of /god.
9.  He is a God who acts on my behalf.  He took my place on Calvery.
10.  He is my way out when I am tempted beyond my ability.
How do I cooperate with him in my problems?  What is my part and what is His?
1.  My part is to do nothing
2.  I am to believe on Him and what He does.
3.  I am to submit to HIm
4.  I am to surrender to His power
5.  I am to worship Him and praise Him because of His excellent greatness.
6.  I am to call upon His name in prayer
7.  I am to let him defend me and not defend myself.
8.  I am to let him justify me so I don’t have to justify myself.
9.  I am to rest in Him and let Him do the work and labor.
10.I am to enter into His resting place or place of rest.
Who is the Holy Spirit?
1.  He is the Spirit of Adoption who causes me to be accepted by God.
2.  He is the Spirit of Holiness that makes me Holy
3.  He is the Spirit of all Light that helps me see in the darkness
4.  He is Might in strength and awesome in our praise.
5.  He is the Spirit of Grace that allows me to show grace and mercy to other.
What does He do?
1. He restores my soul.
2.  He brings back all the enemy has stolen from me
3.  He brings life and causes all dead areas in my life to rise up.
4.  He heals the sick, casts out demons, raises the dead, and crushes the head of the devil.
5.  He silences the voice of the enemy
6..He causes me to obey His word.
7.  He keeps me from falling and backsliding
8.  He holds me in His hands and My father holds you in His hands
9.  He breaks the power of idoltry and addiction
10.  He heals the broken hearted.
How do I cooperate with Him?
1.  I give Him full reign
2.  I surrender all of me
3.  I declare more of HIm less of me
4.  I agree with His inspired word.
5.  I let HIm answer the door when Satan wants to bother me and accuse me
Oh, there are some other things you need to know.  You are the temple of the Holy Spirit and the Living Spirit of God dwells in you and He is the One in you that overcomes the Devil and the Flesh and the World.  This is what He does.  Who is He?  He has no equal.  Who would you compare Him to?  Who is Like Him?  Of whom would you compare Him to?

How the word of God breaks the power of addictions

This entry was posted on Sunday, May 25th, 2008.
This is a new form of therapy to break the power of addictions.  As you may know addictions are really idols because they are given more power than God.  Anything that has power over us is an idol.   We serve what we fear.  The following list of scriptures are formulated to tear down the power of addictions.  Here is how it works.  The word of God according to Jeremiah 23:29  “Is not my word like fire? declares the Lord and”like a hammer which shatters a rock?”  So if the word is like fire it burns and consumes spiritual things.  You see the word is God and God is a consuming fire.  So as we speak the word it consumes and shatters the strongholds of addictions.  We also know that the word does not return void but accomplishes that which is what sent to do..We also know that the word is living and active and sharper than a two edged sword and is able to divide things in two pieces.  What we also know is this is how Jesus combatted Satan in the wilderness when He was tempted three times.  So in the spirtual realm the word is sharper than a two edged sword, and we also know that the Holy Spirit watches over the word to perform it or make it work. Jeremiah 1:12.  Also angels are assigned to to watch over the word Psalm 103:20 “Bless the Lord, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform or watch  His word, Obeying the voice of His word.  So when the scripture of God is quoted the angels also make the word work.  So what we are doing is allowing God and the heavenly host to do the battle and our only job is to speak the word and let them do the rest.  Also before we begin this practice you might want to know that demons according to James2:19 believe and they shudder.  What this means is when the word of God is proclaimed into the heavenilies the demons and devils shudder and according to Ps18:44 “As soon as they hear, they obey me, Foreigners submit to me,Foreigners fade away and come trembling out of their fortresses.  Now this is not a one time deal and it is over.  They are entrenched in strongholds so we are prescribing 30 straight days of speaking this word and then what you will probably find is that you are liking it so well you probably will continue on.  So if you are ready to rout some addictions of demons and idolatry lets begin.
1.  Revelations18:4  Come out of her, my people, that you may not participate in her sins and that you may not receive of her plagues.  For her sins have piled up as high as heaven and God has remembered her iniquities.
2.Isaiah 52:11  “Depart, depart, go out from there, touch nothing unclean.  Go out of the midst of her, purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the Lord.
3.  Psalm 45:10  “Listen, O daughter, give attention and incline your ear, Forget your people and your father’s house:Then the King will desire your beauty. Because He is your Lord bow down to Him.
4.  Psalm 142:7 “Bring my soul out of prison so that I may give thanks to thy name.  The righteous will surround me for thou wilt deal bountifully with me.
5.  Jeremiah 4:14  I will “wash my heart from evil that I may be delivered and saved.  I will not let wicked thoughts lodge with me.
6.Jeremiah 4:3  Break up your fallow ground and do not sow among the thorns.  Circumcise yourselves to the Lord and remove the foreskins of your heart.
7.  2 Cor 6:14  I will not be bound together with unvelievers, for I have no partnership with lawlessness and I am of the light and have no agreement with darkness.
8.  2 cor 7:1  Beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit perfecting holiness in the reverence of the Lord.
9.  2 Cor 6:16  I have no agreement with idols or addictions for I am the temple of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit dwells in me.
10.  2 Cor 6:18  I will come out from the midst of the world and be separate.  I will not touch what is unclean and then the Lord will welcome me.  Then the Lord will be a father to me and I shall be his son and daughter.

So as we have done before, we let the word do the work.  We can do nothing but proclaim the word.  Notice that there will be a peace that starts settling over you and a quiet because lots of the demons are packing bags and are thinking about getting out.  When you speak the word the Consuming fire comes and it starts getting hot for some of the addiction demons.  So now we start on more directive words.  Directive words are ones that are directed toward the emeny.  In a military campaign it would be like mortar shells going into the camp of the enemy.  One of the most powerful weapons of warfare are praises to God.
1. Psalm 75:9 But as for me. Will declare it forever, I will sing praise to the God of Jacob and all the strength of the wicked will be cut off.  But the righteous will be lifted up.
2.  Psalm 149:6  Let the high praises of God be in my mouth and a two edged sword in my hand and God will bind their kings with chains into outer darkness and their nobles with fetters of iron.
3.  Psalm 139:19  Slay the wicked O God.  Depart from me therefore you men of bloodshed, for they speak against Thee wickedly and Thine enemies take Thy name in vain.
4.  Psalm 139:21  Do I not hate those who hate Thee O lord?  And do not I loathe those who rise up against thee?  I hate them with the utmost hatred, They have become my enemies.
5.  Psalm 26:4  I do not sit with deceitful men, Nor will I go with pretenders  I hate the asembly of evidoers, and I will not sit with the wicked.
6.  Psalm 31:6  “  I hate those who regard vain and empty idols;  But I trust in the lord.  I will rejoice and be glad in thy lovingkindness, because thou hast seen my affliction.
7.  Jeremiah 50:14  “I will draw up the battle line against Babyloyn from every side.   All who can bend the bow shoot at her, do not spare with your arrows for she has sinned against the Lord.
8.  Jeremiah 50:15  “  Raise up your battle cry against her on every side!  She has given herself up, her pillars have fallen, Her walls have been torn down, For this is the vengeance of the Lord.  Take vengeance on her: As she has down to others, so do to her.
9.  Lev:26:13  ” I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt so that you should not be their slaves and I broke the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.
10.  Isaish 10:27  So it is in that day, his burden has been removed from your shoulders and his yoke from your neck and the yoke has been broken because of the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Now things will start happening.  Battle lines have been drawn.  Remember no weapon formed against you shall prosper. And from out of the mouths of babes and infants the Lord has given strength to still the enemy and avenger.  Also remember this out of Psalm 101:8  ” Every morning I will destroy and silence all the wicked of the land, so as to cut off from me all who do iniquity.
 1.  Ezekial 34:27  I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them from the hand of those who have enslaved them.  You will no longer be a prey to the nations and the beasts of the earth will not devour me, but I will live securely and no one will make me afraid.
2.  Jeremiah 30:8  “  The day has come at Calvary, that He has broken the yoke offf your neck and has torn off my chains and bonds.  and I declare that strangers will no longer make me their slaves.
3.  Isaiah 54:17  “No weapon that is formed against me will prosper.  and every tongue that accuses me in judgment I will condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.
4.  Psalm 18: 28  ” For thou dost light my lamp; the Lord my God illumines my darkness.  For by thee I can run or crush a troop of devils and by my God I can leap over a wall.
5.  Psalm 18:37  “  I pursued my enemies and overtook them. and I did not turn back unti they were consumed.  I shattered them so that they were not able to rise  They fell under my feet.

Now lets do this for 30 days and see what happens.  When you feel the need for the addiction or the desire confess the word.  While you are watching television and numbing your mind break the pattern and read the word out loud.  Do this as you drive to work.  At the stop lights, during intervals, remember it is an offensive weapon of warfare that does work.  Reason doesn’t work in the spiritual realm, the power is in the spoken word.

For those who are weak and weary

This entry was posted on Monday, May 19th, 2008.

Sometimes people grow weak and weary and lose strength. They feel like the life is drained out of them and it manifests on several levels. Physically you feel tired, mentally you are exhausted and emotionally you feel drained. But there is a spiritual side that we tend to ignore when we become weary. The following scriptures are designed to rebuild strength and vitality and restore the spiritual side of a person. These are to be read daily out loud, a couple of times a day if your case is severe, and the only caution is that there are some side effects. You will begin to be filled with power and strength and sometimes start feeling light-headed and a slight feeling of euphoria. Ignore them and just keep speaking the word, which is truth. So here we go.

1. Isaiah 40: 29. “He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power.

2. Isaiah 40:31 ” Those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength, they will sprout wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.

3. Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my strength and my song and He has become my salvation: This is my God and I will praise Him, this is my father’s God and I will extol Him.

4. Deuteronomy 31: 6 ” Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

5. Deuteronomy 33:25 Your locks shall be iron and bronze, and according to the length of your days so shall your strength be.

6. Psalm 18:1 “I love thee O Lord my strength, The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer.

7. Psalm 18: 32 ” He is the God who girds me with strength, and He makes my way blameless. He makes my feet like hind’s feet and sets me upon my high places.

8. Psalm 18:29 ” For by thee O lord I can crush a troop of devils and by my God I can leap over a wall.

9. Psalm 28:7 ” The Lord is my strength and my shield: My heart trusts in Him and I am helped: Therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him.

10. Psalm 28:8 The Lord is the strength of His people and He is a saving defense to His anointed.

Now here is a good place to rest and let the word settle in. You will notice a quietness come over you and sort of a peace and calm. Don’t worry about it, It is just some demons leaving because the word is like a two edged sword and they don’t like to hear this kind of thing. They just like you to reason and think and do little religious acts that are meaningless and have no power. So now we go to the next 10 which are a little stronger.

11. Ps 37:39 “The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord: He is my strength in time of trouble, The Lord helps me and delivers me He delivers me from the wicked and saves me because I take refuge in Him.

12. 1 Chronicles 29: 12: “Both riches and honor come from Thee, and Thous dost rule over all, and in Thy hand is power and might, and it lies in Thy hand to make great, and to strengthen everyone.

13. Psalm 119:28: ” My soul weeps because of grief; Strengthen me according to Thy word.

14. Psalm 119:49: “Remember the word to thy servant in which Thou hast made me hope, This is the comfort in my affliction, that Thy word has revived me and brought me to life.

15. Ephesians 3:16″ He will grant me, according to the riches of His glory to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in my inner man.

16. 1 Timothy 1:12 “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me because He considered me faithful and put me into service.

17. Ephesians 6:11 “Finally be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might, Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

18. 2 Corinthians 12:9 ” My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness, most gladly I will rather boast about my weakness, that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

19. 2 Corinthians 12:10 I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for the sake of Christ, for when I am weak, then I am strong.

20.Psalm 68: 34 “Give strength to God His majesty is over Israel, and His strength is in the skies: O God thou art awesome from the sanctuary, The God of Israel Himself give strength and power to the people.

Now pause for a few moments and see if you are truly gaining new strength. Take in a deep breath and let out all weakness, fear, stress and trembling for God has not given you a spirit of fear and timidity but a spirit of power and love and a sound mind. 1 Timothy 1:7. Now we finish this up, all devils are gone because they don’t like what we are doing, especially religious devils don’t like this. Now with boldness speak these out.

21. Psalm 81:1 “Sing for joy to God our strength Shout joyfully to the God of Jacob. Raise a song, strike the timbrel, The sweet sounding lyre with the harp.

22. Psalm 84:5 “How blessed is the man whose strength is in thee, In whose heart are the highways to Zion. Passing through the valley of trouble they make it a spring.

23. Psalm 84:7 They go from strength to strength, Every one of them appears before God in Zion.

24. Dueteronomy 34:7 Although Moses waas one hundred and twenty years old when he died, his eye was not dim nor his vigor or natural energy abated.

25. Job 33:25 ” Let my flesh become fresher than in youth, and let me return to the days of my youthful vigor.

Now put these into practice for 30 days and see if your strength and vigor start returning. Remember that The joy of the Lord is your strength and He has seated you in the heavenlies far above your enemies.
